Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are currently the most talented footballers on the planet right now. Two gifted players with great football skills and goal scoring abilities. He was named the best forward, player of the tournament, competition’s top goal scorer, and wining the Europran Golden Shoe. Ronaldo was famously named the FIFA World Player of the Year. Three time Ballon d’or winner Johan Cruyff said in an interview on 2 April 2008 that Ronaldo is better than George Best and Denis Law.

Lionel Messi began his football career at Newell’s Old Boy’s youth team. He made his debut for Barcelona at the season 2004 to 2005. He scored a goal which broke a record, becoming the youngest footballer to score a league goal. His breakthrough in to the first team was in the year 2006 to 2007 season. Messi scored a hatrick in the El Classic and scored fourteen goals in twenty six league games. Lionel Messi’s most successful time in his career was the next season in which he scored thirty eight goals helping Barcelona to a famous treble. Messi broke Brazil Ronaldo’s record of forty seven goals and went passed it in the following year also by scoring fifty goals in all competition matches.

The talented Argentine forward has already won five La Liga titles, three champions League. He has also scored in both Champion league finals against rivals Manchester United. Lionel Messi became the youngest Argentine to take part in the FIFA World Cup in 2006. In the international level he has scored nineteen goals in sixty games. Messi has scored two similar goals of the great Diego Maredona. He ran exactly the same distance of Maredona’s goal of the century which was sixty two metres and two hundred and three feet. He ran past the same number of players by dribbling past six players just like Maredona’s famous goal. The Spanish press labelled Messi as “Messidona”. Messi’s team mate deco said of that goal “it was the best goal I have ever seen in my life”. Diego Maredona has famously said that Lionel Messi is his successor.
