The Super Bowl is not complete without the halftime show. Some people watch the game just to see this performance. Some shows are bad, some are good and then there are the outstanding performances that make the crowds go wild.

Diana Ross- In 1996, The Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers went head to head in Super Bowl XXX. Diana Ross was the entertainer and she put on a show that absolutely wowed the crowds. She sang old hits such as Baby Love, You Can't Hurry Love, Why Do Fools Fall in Love and I Will Survive. The dancers were fabulous and Ms. Ross put on a show extraordinaire. She even pulled off changing clothes throughout the show without anyone realizing she was doing it. At the end of the show, during I Will Survive, a helicopter landed on the stage and whisked Diana Ross away. This is a hard act for any performer to follow.

Michael Jackson- In 1993, The Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills played Super Bowl XXVII. Michael Jackson was the entertainment. The crowd went wild when Michael came on stage. Michael did not just step on the stage though. He came onstage in true Michael Jackson style. Jackson was shown on a screen singing, and then he begins to rise on the screen until the real Michael comes up out of the top of the screen. It was truly an awesome Super Bowl halftime show. Fans rushed the stage and cheered so loud throughout most of the performance that it was difficult to hear Jackson sing. He only sang three songs, but the crowd went wild again when he blew them kisses before exiting.

Aerosmith, NSync, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Nelly and Timothy Swackhammer- The Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants played the 2001 Super Bowl game. This halftime show was like none other. This huge cast of pop stars, rock stars and rap stars pulled off one of the best Super Bowl halftime shows in history. NSync started the show off then passed it on to Aerosmith. The end song, "Walk This Way", was the perfect ending as all the stars battled it out. The song had a mixture of rock, pop and rap that worked beautifully together.

Phil Collins Christina Aguilera, Enrique Iglesias and Toni Braxton- The Saint Louis Rams and the Tennessee Titans played Super Bowl XXXIV. This was the new millennium, which the halftime show focused on. Walt Disney World came together with a cast of brilliant stars for The "Reflections of Earth and Tapestry of Nations" show. It was truly a show to remember. Disney performers danced while top stars of the time sang. It was a beautiful show.

Super Bowl halftime shows come and go. These performances will live in the hearts of fans for a long time to come. These are the cream of the crop acts. The Super Bowl halftime show is legend in the United States. The above performers have made it even more of a legend by giving better than their best.
