Two football seasons later the Brazilian football winger signed for Athlectico Junior football team. He played for them for a while until he left the side for Flamengo football club. He stayed at Flamengo football club until the year of 1969.

Gaincha also took part in the 1958 FIFA World Cup, 1962 FIFA World Cup and the 1966 FIFA World Cup competition. Gaincha and Pele never lost an international football game for Brazil whenever they played together in the same team for Brazil’s international football matches. Gaincha helped Brazil’s international football team win the 1958 FIFA World Cup competition. Gaincha is without any doubt one of the greatest footballers of all time. Gaincha will be remembered for his famous dribbles on the wing and his great individual goal scoring abilities.
